Diving at The Reef
Cayman Diving Made Simple
Our diver guests have access to the best of Grand Cayman diving thanks to an onsite Ocean Frontiers dive shop. Located on the east end of Grand Cayman, The Reef is surrounded by famous dive sites. If you like Caribbean diving, then you’ll love The Reef!
But there is plenty for non-diving friends and family to do as well – lazing around our 1600 foot beach front with two swimming areas, three freshwater pools, playing beach volleyball and tennis, or enjoying one of our many other family friendly activities.
And if you’ve come to Grand Cayman and scuba diving has intrigued you, we also offer Try-Dive in our pool.
Ocean Frontiers
Ocean Frontiers, Grand Cayman’s premier scuba diving company, has a dive shop located on-site at The Reef. This PADI 5-Star Gold Palm IDC Center provides divers with everything they need for unbelievable underwater Cayman island diving adventures. Divers consistently rank Ocean Frontiers as having both the world’s best dive staff and best dive operation.
Ocean Frontiers offers dive classes for divers of every experience level, from beginners to dive masters. High-quality diving gear is available to rent, as are boats, kayaks and more.
The Ocean Frontiers mini-bus picks up divers at The Reef twice daily. They offer valet diving (cleaning, rinsing, and storing of your dive gear) while you stay at The Reef. Their main office is just 3 miles from The Reef but they operate a satellite dive and retail store right off The Reef’s lobby.
The Reef Resort and Ocean Frontiers offer a great Cayman Island dive package.

- and local souvenirs.
Grand Cayman Scuba - East End Style
Some of the world’s most spectacular unspoiled coral reefs and walls can be explored in the waters off The Reef and the east end of Grand Cayman. Ocean Frontiers offers a two-tank wall and reef dive each morning and each afternoon, as well as stingray dives and snorkeling, coral reef snorkel trips and night dives.
Grand Cayman diving is excellent with over 145 dive sites, including unspoiled walls and intriguing shipwrecks, and is always included as one of the top 5 dive destinations in the world.
The Cayman Islands are the birthplace of recreational diving in the Caribbean. In 1986, a Marine Park plan was created to preserve the marine ecosystem of the islands and 119 permanent moorings along the west coast of Grand Cayman encourage diving boats to disperse and lessen anchor damage to the reefs.
